The Energy series is inspired by the five elements of energy. The strong colors of his monochromes visualize space, transformation, water and air, sun and growth, the basis for our whole universe, from animate to inanimate, from particle to atom. Energy is the ability to do work, to create and to live, and “color is energy made visible”. The project Energy has been designed for Shell and is currently on permanent display at Shell headquarters in The Hague, The Netherlands.
