Vienna, Austria. Ukraine: Archetype of freedom

On February 22, 2014 Ukrainian gallery „Mystetska Zbirka“ presents selected works of Ukrainian painters “Ukraine. Archetype of freedom”.
 
The exhibition will take place from 24th going to show to the Europeans the main feature of Ukrainian mentality – aspiration to the freedom.
 
For the Ukrainian artists freedom is an obligatory condition for creative work. Archetype of freedom comes out in their works with the open space, free forms, dynamic strokes and powerful color. The accent will be made on pictural art.
 
The exhibition will present the artists of different generations who took the risk to cross a line and break the stereotypes: Ivan Marchuk, Anatoliy Kryvolap, Hanna Kryvolap, Olexander Roitburd, Borys Buryak, Mykola Zhuravel, Mykhailo Demtsyu, Max Vityk, Matvij Vaisberg, Petro Lebedynets, 
Mykhailo Deyak, Olexander Zhivotkov, Viktor Sydorenko, Viktor Deisun, Leonid Kozlov.
 
The exhibitions organizer gallery "Mystetska zbirka" in the nearest future is planning to open the representation in Europe.The owners are going to make it the Ukrainian art-center in Austria, the artistic platform for creative meetings with artists.

What does it mean to be free for a modern person? What does freedom present to an individual? And what if freedom is just an illusion, a horizon line, an unreachable absolute?”

The opening will take place on February 22 at 17:00, Novomatic Forum, Friedrichstraße 7, 1010 Vienna, Austria.
 
The exhibition works from February 24 till March 8, 2014.
